Guglielmo Castelli

Working across painting, drawing, collage on fabric, and sculpture, his figures emerge from fluid expanses of color only to dissolve into sudden transparencies, moving through the picture as though it were a place of passage rather than a stable surface. Immersed in elusive scenographies, his characters appear to traverse emotional states rather than physical spaces - affective thresholds rather than defined environments. Through a liquid, vibrant, and unpredictable painterly language, marked by soft layers that alternate with sudden concentrations of paint, Castelli creates suspended images in which identity remains fluid and space unfolds as a field of tension between presence and absence.
