Mendes Wood DM: Germantown Art and Design Week
Mendes Wood DM Archipelago presents a selection of works for Germantown Art and Design Week. The presentation brings together icons of Brazilian modernist design and architecture in dialogue with contemporary designers, set amongst a curated selection of works from the Mendes Wood DM program.
Featuring furniture by renowned mid-20th century designers Lina Bo Bardi, Dominici, Carlo Hauner & Martin Eisler, Joaquim Tenreiro, Sergio Rodrigues, Oscar Niemeyer, and Jorge Zalszupin.
Contemporary designs by Pedro Ávila, Andrew De Freitas, Brecht Wright Gander, Estúdio Rain, Cecilia Tanure, Rafael Triboli, and Kelly Wearstler.
The Germantown-based artist Katie Stout presents ceramics alongside Hudson Valley-based artists who blur the line between sculpture and functional objects; Ori Carlin, Sylvie Estes, Kieran Kinsella, Lucia Reissig, Mike White, Tshidi Malale, and florals by Rae Wilson.
In addition to artworks by Alma Allen, Maria Auxiliadora, Adriano Costa, Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato, Paulo Nazareth, Paulo Monteiro, Solange Pessoa, Paula Siebra, and Marcos Siqueira.
Mendes Wood DM Archipelago is open Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 4pm.
