A Leaf-Shaped Animal Draws The Hand

Published in occasion of Steegmann Mangrané’s first survey exhibition in Italy, the volume is the most complete monographic study on the artist and includes unpublished essays by Kaira M. Cabañas, Flora Katz a contribution by Lucia Aspesi e Fiammetta Griccioli, the curators of the exhibition, and the reprint of a conversation between the artist and Lauren Cornell. In addition, the publication presents the complete inventory of over a hundred installations, drawings, sculptures, photographs and films created by the artist from 1997 to the present day. The catalog is a co-production with Institut d’art contemporain, Villeurbanne and Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College.
