The Biennale Arte 2026 is grounded in a deep belief in artists as vital interpreters of the social and psychic condition, and as catalysts for new relations and possibilities. The International Exhibition is composed of artistic practices that open portals, refresh and nourish, advance concepts and forms, and foster relationships. Its premise is that poetry liberates and that people create beauty together. The exhibition proposes an experience that is sensory rather than didactic, renewing rather than exhausting, and fortifying for the work ahead.
In Minor Keys is curated by Koyo Kouoh (1967–2025) and realised by her team together with La Biennale di Venezia. Its 110 participating artists, collaborative duos, collectives, and artist-centred organisations reflect her relational geography of encounters with artists throughout her lifetime. Koyo Kouoh’s interest lay in resonance, affinity, and the possibilities of confluence — in how poetics, broad material experimentation, and visionary ideas connect artists across different moments and contexts.
