Brigitte Horney (1911–1988) was a renowned German theatre and film actress best known for her commanding presence and distinctive voice. Rising to prominence in the 1930s, she starred in classics like Love, Death and the Devil and achieved iconic status as Empress Catherine the Great in the 1943 fantasy film Baron Münchhausen.
