Aeneas and the Sibyl in the Underworld is a painting at the Met of which I had seen a copy in Brussels. I found the swarming aspect of the underworld quite repulsive. I used it here to make what I imagine to be the poster for the play No Exit (Huis clos) by Sartre. A reflection in this poster shows a silhouette taking a photo to suggest our presence.
