Born in Long Island, John studied drama in New York. He always lived close to the sea and earned his living working for fishing equipment shops, working with ropes, hooks and lures. He inherited from a close bachelor actor, an invaluable old set of magic tricks and a wardrobe that he diligently explored. As he had a late start in the profession, John now struggles to exhibit his one man show “Astor” in cabarets and start up theaters in Vegas or Fresno.
