Fully embracing figuration, Vojtech presents a large painting full of his artistic personality in Linhas Tortas. His interest in Greek mythology and modern sculpture leads the painting to a sculptural quality that comes from its attention to the gesture. Kovařík’s tone sways ambiguously between violence and silliness. His giant, flagrantly flaunting their masculinity, become caricatures, ridiculous objects of curiosity.
