Synopsis:
In the depths of discomfort, a whisper emerges, echoing through the body: "I need assistance, grant me more of this." This sentiment sets the stage for Castiel's immersive performance, spanning three weeks along the serene shores of Lake Leman in Switzerland. Set against the backdrop of La Becque | Artist Residency, the video encapsulates a profound exploration into the symbiotic relationship between tranquility and freedom.

The video captures fleeting moments of liberation and fluidity as Castiel's body, mind, and the surrounding landscape converge in a harmonious dance of self-discovery and transformation. Each frame becomes a new geography of freedom, a testament to the artist's profound journey towards emancipation and transcendence.

Technical Information:
The video is compatible with all television or projection systems, with stereo sound being mandatory for an optimal experience. Headphones are not recommended, as the auditory dimension plays a crucial role in the narrative.

About the Artist:
Castiel embodies Transmutation as an inevitable calling, seamlessly weaving through and embracing her Bantu ontology. She perceives healing as a transient moment of liberation, delving deep into the realms of spirituality and interspecies ancestry. As an artist, writer, and psychologist, Castiel's work transcends dual dimensions, delving into existential and corporeal healing while reclaiming and redefining the spaces she inhabits.

Her artistic repertoire encompasses performance, video, photography, installation, and pictorial practices, traversing a vast spectrum that intersects common traditions within the realms of art, healing, encounters, Afro-Brazilian spiritual practices, and psycho-spiritual dimensions. Castiel's magnetic imagery challenges preconceived notions, dismantling dichotomies between culture and nature while dismantling structures that perpetuate racialization and constrain the fluidity of human experiences.

Her actions serve as a conduit for trauma, providing direction for their resolution. Interweaving diverse forms of knowledge, she fosters exchanges and transformations of all kinds, culminating in rituals propelled by the power of language, the rhythmic sway of the body, and the nurturing of the soul. Through her elemental inventiveness and esoteric transgressions, Castiel channels actions and vibrations from realms both tangible and ethereal.
