“As part of the research for the film, I developed a series of photograms inspired by the sky studies painted by the artist and inventor, Hercule Florence, pioneer of photography, and other similar studies on how to represent the sky and the natural phenomena that happen in it. Raio is a unique photography technique that doesn't use a camera. The image of the work is a photogram. A cotton sculpture was placed on photographic silver paper that receives light from an enlarger in a diagonal position. The image is the result of the contact of this sculpture with the paper, with the action of the light. The sensitive paper was processed with a classic photographic darkroom process.” - Leticia Ramos.
