In her display at Linhas Tortas, Canell has carefully assembled a new piece that includes short sections of cable used for underground and underwater communication. This cable is covered in a solid plastic coating and has symmetrical inner parts. This emphasizes that the flow of electricity or information is closely connected to the challenges it faces along its path. This connection cannot be separated from the distance it travels, the things it comes into contact with, and the way it bounces off surfaces. This installation also welcomes the ideas of being squashed, dissolved, and twisted as noticeable marks left behind, almost like middle points that show something in between.
