This is a machine deconstructed so that it is completely useless. The white cupola reminds me of Brazilian architecture for museums, like the Niemeyer buildings, which are actually really hard to use. They are architects’ dreams. And that’s fine, I’m an artist, I love dreams. But very difficult to work inside of. Like a white ghost. The front of the piece has two arms, just like a sphinx, something that reminds you of something but, at the same time, is completely useless. I love the construction, which is trying to deal with beauty.
